2021
Voilà, 2020 a pris fin. Nous avons entamé 2021. Souhaitons-nous de l’espoir pour cette année.
Je n’ai pas encore de nouvelles photos de cette nouvelle année même si je suis un peu sortie hier avec l’appareil. Mais il fait froid et j’avais le bout des doigts gelés. Oui, je sais, « relativement » froid, mais pour moi, c’est froid. – 2° C ce matin, encore, d’ailleurs. Ne me parlez toujours pas de gel, de neige ou d’hiver : ce n’est pas ce qui me convient, vivement le printemps et les jours qui rallongent.
Ceci dit, je n’ai pas de photos mais comme je me suis remise à la peinture, j’ai fait ceci : un paysage à l’encre soluble (les finitions à l’aquarelle).

So, there’s this American saying: « When the days begin to lengthen, the cold begins to strengthen » (refers to the fact that in the past in North America there would be a gradual drop in temperatures from Christmas to mid-February or so. We usually had a brief February thaw and then it would be cold again, although not as cold as it had been in January.
Now we have climate change so who knows. It may have its small benefits, if it keeps your fingers from freezing?
Just kidding.
